SHORT SYNOPSIS

When JAMIE vanishes on a remote and hostile island, her closest friend SARAH sets out to uncover the truth. Forced to confront a tight-lipped community in search of her missing friend, she soon learns that another teenage girl went missing on the island four years ago, but her greatest fears can never come close to imagining what really happened to Jamie. Can Sarah escape the island and avoid a similar fate?

MISSING is a dark suspense thriller set on a fictional bleak and decayed island off the British coast. Through Sarah’s investigation into the whereabouts of her missing friend, the film explores themes of isolation, the violence and cruelty that humans are capable of and how sometimes the truth can be more terrifying than the unknown. Tension and fear of the unknown invade the atmosphere from the start of the film holding the audience until the very end. The plot and pacing is increasingly fast paced as elements of the mystery transpire and confuse; with the grim truth surrounding Jamie’s disappearance festering somewhere off screen.
