Scientists believe that without the tiny imperfections that existed in the matter of the early universe, planets would not have formed and none of us would be here. Procession is a film about how 14 billion years later, those imperfections still rule our lives. Through interweaving stories Procession traces how an elephant poacher in South Africa, a Danish artist and his twin brother, a psychopath in London and a nuclear technician in 1970s America are all inexorably linked in a complex web of cause and effect over 30 years, showing how as humans we should embrace our flaws instead of fighting them.
